Join Julia for a Watercolour Paint and Pencil crash course utilising her favourite materials and theme.
Watercolour pencil as an easy-to-use medium, especially for children, this class will let your loved ones create, build, and explore colour and tone.
As an accomplished creative and parent with 20 years of experience in Fashion Direction, business, and design, Julia is eager to share her passion with young designers and beginners.
Kids will learn:
- Your child will be provided with a reference and guided step by step on how to transfer, shade, utilise the brush and create tone.
- Your child can play with Glazing and blooming techniques to form and 'Abstract WC art'
- They will enjoy an exploration of the WC pencil medium and how to respectfully use and keep sake the materials.
- Provide an opportunity for each child to express their ideas and thoughts 'visually', a powerful tool in communication.
- They will explore the power of colour and tone which will help develop and express their ideas.
- My goal for your child is for them to not only 'Enjoy!' but leave the classroom with a keepsake story of their drawings and equipped with a foundation of skills to visualise and communicate their creative fashion ideas.
Drop off is recommended, however, parents/carers are most welcome to stay at no extra charge.
I do offer a 'brain' snack during the class so please advise on allergies. I will be in touch prior to the booking for further details.
Your teacher is registered with 'Working with Children Check.' and Police check.

PRINTS - 310 gsm, 100% Cotton. This is a Matt archival quality paper that will give lasting image stability for many years. This paper has a slight texture which replicates the hot press cotton watercolour paper used for the original artwork. this combination of high quality print and paper provides the closest relevance and quality to the original artwork.
Your artwork will be professionally printed on 310gsm 'Smooth Pearl' paper which offers a traditional photograph aestetic, this is complimented alongside a proteticive 3mm optishield glaze. Then framed in your choice of Natural Timber, white or Black frame.

IN PERSON WORKSHOPS
Workshops are liited to Perth region and numbers per class. This is so I can focus and give each person their one-on-one attention when needed. Once you book your workshop space, I will be in touch a few days prior to the date with all info needed to attend this. (which is not much! its simple)
