Combining both artistic and apparel knowledge, join Julia for a fashion illustration crash course utilising her favourite materials and theme.
As an accomplished creative and parent and 20 years of experience in Fashion Direction, business and design, Julia is eager to share her passion with young designers and beginners.
For those who love to draw and sketch and who cannot get enough, this special offering will provide young designers with tips in fashion sketching and illustration.
We will cover the method of collection creation and examine the use of various silhouettes into a story.
With a focus on the watercolour pencil (drawing) medium, students will also learn how to represent the different features and textures of a garment.
Kids will learn:
- To express their ideas and thoughts 'visually', a powerful tool in communication
- The power of colour. and art mediums which will detail and express their ideas.
- Develop strong observation skills as they scan their environment for design inspiration.
- Leave the classroom with a keep-sake story of their drawings and equipped with a foundation of skills to visualise and communicate their creative fashion ideas.
Drop off is recommended, however parents/carers are most welcome to stay at no extra charge.

PRINTS - 310 gsm, 100% Cotton. This is a Matt archival quality paper that will give lasting image stability for many years. This paper has a slight texture which replicates the hot press cotton watercolour paper used for the original artwork. this combination of high quality print and paper provides the closest relevance and quality to the original artwork.
Your artwork will be professionally printed on 310gsm 'Smooth Pearl' paper which offers a traditional photograph aestetic, this is complimented alongside a proteticive 3mm optishield glaze. Then framed in your choice of Natural Timber, white or Black frame.

IN PERSON WORKSHOPS
Workshops are liited to Perth region and numbers per class. This is so I can focus and give each person their one-on-one attention when needed. Once you book your workshop space, I will be in touch a few days prior to the date with all info needed to attend this. (which is not much! its simple)
